Bass house is one of the bass genres I never knew I’d like until I heard it. Melodic dubstep is one of my favorites as well, despite the trend of it sounding the same often. Excision is overrated at the melodic game, but I love Illenium (even if opinion is shifting among the community since he’s becoming more mainstream).

If anything I'd say Dubstep/brostep is more mainstream (in the U.S.) and also easier to get into and dance to for anyone new to EDM/raves But DnB is also super cool and fun and there's so many different ways to do this genre to make it interesting.
